Abstract
As the precision improvement of gyroscope, the requirement of high precision accelerometer was much imminence in inertial field. Using optical technique in accelerometer had particular advantages, because optical technique had high sensitivity and immunity to electromagnetic interference. The development of the accelerometer was presented. The structures and principles of optical accelerometers were summarized, and their characteristics were analyzed. The development direction and application prospects of optical accelerometer using in inertial field are investigated.
