Abstract
The research progress of ion-exchange type controlled-release intelligent corrosion inhibitors in the past ten years is introduced. The corrosion inhibitors can be classified into a cationic type and an anionic type, depending on the electro negativity of the corrosion inhibitors and stimulating ions. The principle, development and preparation of these two types of corrosion inhibitors are discussed, and the future research directions and hotspots of ion exchange intelligent corrosion inhibitors are proposed.
