Abstract

For the purpose of reducing vibration of bladed disk structures, the piezoelectric material was allocated to different sectors uniformly to form one special kind of bi-periodic system. The piezoelectric material was connected through the external circuit in different types of the parallel network and the series network. The dynamical equations of this electromechanical coupling system were constructed and dynamic characteristics were analyzed. The results suggest that, in the variation range of bladed disk model parameters in this paper, the bi-periodic piezoelectric network just changes the frequency of bladed disk structure little on the frequency veering region, no more than 2%. However, it changes the modal shape significantly, which splits from single nodal diameter to multi nodal diameters, the nodal diameter type depends on the bi-periodic number. The piezoelectric network also converts mechanical displacement into charge displacement. Meanwhile, the resistance element in the piezoelectric network improves modal damping ratios of the system efficiently. All attenuate vibration well. Finally, the modified modal assurance criterion(MMAC)was used to assess vibration suppression effect of the bi-periodic piezoelectric network system. It shows that the design of the bi-periodic number can effectively reduce vibration.
