Research on traffic information service system based-on FM broadcast in Beijing

Abstract

This article introduces the development of advanced traffic information services in Beijing in 2006. BTIC(Beijing Traffic Information Center), in association with BUAA(Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics) and other partners, has successfully implemented a project which broadcasts traffic information using FM radio wave. The author illustrates the system structure, and then explains some key technologies. In the conclusion, the author summarizes the acquired achievements and gives some proposals for future development.
