Abstract
Two kinds methods of simulating body motion under aerodynamic force, i.e. CFD-6DOF and COEF-6DOF are overviewed systemically. Also the three calculation methods of aerodynamic coefficients in COEF-6DOF method are proposed. The example simulation the trajectory of a free jettisoned aircraft canopy show that COEF-3DOF method will have different result due to various aerodynamic coefficients and result of COEF-3DOF method with unsteady aerodynamic coefficients in good accord with the result of CFD-3DOF.
