Abstract

The impacts on joint structure strength of the dentiform basic parameters, such as wedge angle, blade root neck width, disc groove height, top flank angle, bottom flank angle and skew angle, were studied by lots of finite element and optimization design numerical methods. Based on the calculated results, a new model was established and verified experimentally, indicating that the maximum stress has been reduced. Results show that two-dimensional finite element analysis can be used to study the influence of dentiform basic parameters on the joint structure stress distribution, but this does not reflect changes of the stress in the axial direction.
