Abstract

The electrochemical behavior of X70 pipeline steel in simulated ku'erle soil solution under stresses and slow strain rates was studied using electrochemical polarization measurement method. Effects of stress and slow strain rates on the polarization curves were analyzed. The influence of stess on electrochemical corrosion of the steel was discussed. The results show that stress and strain rate can influence the corrosion behavior of X70 pipeline steel in simulated solution. With increase of stress, the corrosion current density increases. Moreover, the influence of stress on anode current density is over than that of the cathode.
