Abstract

A nonlinear dynamic model of two stages planetary gear and one stage parallel helical gear system considering the torsional vibration, axial vibration and Radial vibration is established by using Lagrange equation. Referring to the dynamic response of the system, the influence of transmission error is analyzed with the help of bifurcation diagrams, Poincare diagrams, phase diagrams and time history diagrams. The results show that with the changes of the transmission error, the system exhibits different types of nonlinear behaviors and dynamic evolution mechanism, including quasi-periodic, multi-periodic, chaotic motions, and jump discontinuity phenomenon. The results of this paper have some guiding significance for selecting reasonable gear parameter values.
