Abstract

A new dynamic model for double-helical star gearing system is proposed in this research. The dynamic model can used to analysis double-helical star gearing system in any condition. A equivalent meshing error analysis on different types of gear errors in the external and internal meshing line for star gearing system respectively. Axial, transverse, torsional and rotational motions of gears are included in the dynamic model. Establishes a refined new dynamic model for vibration and natural characteristic analysis of double-helical star gearing system. A type of gearing system for aero-engine was researched and calculated to demonstrate the validity of the dynamic model, obtained the values and the vibration mode for different order. It is revealed that the vibration characters for left side and right side of double-helical star gears have a nice distinction, which can provide scientific theory evidence for dynamic design and vibration control for precision double-helical star gearing system.
