Research on multi-rate precision calibration technique for flexible gyroscope based on temperature

Abstract

The nonlinear relationship between the scale factor of flexible gyroscope mainly used in intelligent transportation system(ITS)and the input angle rate as well as environment temperature is analyzed; the variation law of scale factor and its calibration problem under different environment temperatures are studied emphatically.The influence of input angle rate and environment temperature on the scale factor of flexible gyroscope is fully considered; and a kind of multi-rate precision calibration and compensation method based on environment temperature for flexible gyroscope is proposed; then a high-order, high-degree and nonlinear scale factor fitting model is established.Experiment results show that, compared with existing techniques, the proposed model features high fitting precision and easy to be applied, and can reduce the influence of temperature on scale factor and improve the temperature adaptability of flexible gyroscope effectively.
