Abstract

Chaos and its synchronization are key to chaotic secure communication. A new modified Chua system based on a hyperbolic tangent nonlinear function is presented, also the attractor's characteristics with different parameter values, the property of power spectrum density (PSD), bifurcation phenomenon and poincare map about this system are analyzed. Then synchronization of the two modified Chua's circuits is achieved via linear states feedback method. Furthermore, the system is extended to generate more complex multi-scroll chaos via modification of the nonlinear function so that it is more efficient for applications. Simulation results show the effectiveness of our method.
