Abstract

The change of the laser beam through telescope system was analyzed and the laser-induced damage of the telescope (6×) was studied experimentally. The main reason of causing the telescope system damage is the laser heat effect. The damage is relative to the laser energy, wavelength, pulse width and the telescope structure.
