Abstract

In this paper, we systematically study terahertz frequency domain spectroscopy based on continuous-wave and coherent detection. The Hilbert transform, time domain zero-setting and transfer matrix methods are used to restrain the oscillation generated by the Fabry-Perot caused by multiple reflections and transmissions. Accurate optical constants of liquid samples in a PTFE cell are successfully extracted under the condition of atmospheric environment. The refractive index of ethyl acetate, the mixture of alcohol and cyclohexane are steady at 1.38 and 1.36 within the frequency range of 0.5 - 1.6 THz, respectively, which agree well with the experimental results using other methods previously.
