Abstract
This article focuses on the corrosion behavior and mechanism of 2A12 aluminum alloy in the marine atmospheric environment of the Xisha Islands. The 48 -month Xisha marine atmospheric environment exposure corrosion test was carried out. By collecting corrosion test results, analyze the corrosion weight loss, elemental composition, macroscopic and microscopic morphology, as well as electrochemical characteristics during the corrosion process. The corrosion behavior and mechanism of 2A12 aluminum alloy, which exposed to harsh marine environments such as islands and reefs, are analyzed and summarized. The results show that the corrosion rate of aluminum alloy decreases at first and then remains basically unchanged. Corrosion products are distributed uniformly to gradually become concentrated and prominent on the surface, and the composition is mainly A l2 O3. The electrochemical impedance spectra basically show two arc resistance, and the polarization resistance fluctuates with the exposure time, which reflects the change of corrosion products and corrosion resistance of test materials surface.
