Abstract

Solar cell is becoming increasingly popular due to its extensive application on space satellites. It is now one of the main primary energy sources of satellites, and it supports spacecraft communication, data transmission, space observation and experimental research. With the advantage of high conversion efficiency, high radiation resistance and low in cost, GaAs solar cell shows evident superiority over the traditional silicon solar cell, and began to be used as main power supply of all kinds of spacecraft, especially the small satellite.
