Abstract

Total electric field at ground level is one important parameters to assess electromagnetic environment under ultra high voltage DC (UHVDC) transmission line, therefore special attentions are paid to it. Based on Zigbee technology, a system to measure total electric field at ground level under UHVDC transmission line is developed, and the network topology and performances of the developed measuring system in complicated surrounding environment are researched in detail. Experimental results show that the developed measuring system can operate normally and steadily in complex environment and is easy to use.
