Abstract
Experiments were performed to study the heating ability and air purity of the clean air storage heater for direct-connected test bed, including the storage process, the heat release process and the particle concentration at the inlet of the combustor. The key results show that, the storage process is long, and the inlet gas temperature must be higher than the specified temperature in order to make the outlet gas temperature reach the specified temperature. The temperature of high pressure air at the outlet of the storage heater can be constant for a long time, and the mass flow rate rage is from 2.0 to 4.0 kg/s. At present, the high pressure air can be heated up to 1000℃. The particle concentration is low which can be ignored, so the air should be considered clean.
