Abstract

Aiming at the development trend of scale and complexity of digital twin system, this paper proposes a general digital twin modeling and simulation platform framework from the perspective of system modeling. Based on the discrete event system specification (DEVS), we propose a definition for twins oriented to system simulation, and establish a unified modeling and simulation algorithm for hierarchical twins. This algorithm uses the graphical modeling method, supports the mixed simulation mechanism of discrete time and discrete event, and the twin formed has a clear logical structure and good reusability. Finally, using the proposed twin modeling algorithm, we establish the digital twin system of the converter shop. The establishment process of the system shows that the proposed method can easily model and simulate the complex digital twins.
