Abstract
In order to facilitate the interoperability and reusability of various simulation applications of different domains, a Run Time Infrastructure (RTI) software, namely AST (Advanced Simulation Technology)-RTI, was developed. This software was based on High Level Architecture (HLA) Interface Specification version 1.3, which is the newest standard of distributed interactive simulation. AST-RTI realized federation management, declaration management, object management, time management and data distribution management and showed excellent performance. The principle of RTI design was studied, and the time management, resource storage as well as communication mechanism in AST-RTI were discussed in detail. The software testing was finished. Finally, an instance of AST-RTI-based flight simulation training environment was demonstrated.
