Abstract

Advances in fabrication technologies have kept in bringing new directions to the field of tissue engineering. Recently, using Rapid Prototyping-based methods and hydrogel chemistries and cells, researchers have been able to assemble tissue engineering active organoids with complex 3-D architectures in vitro. Through analyzing the natural tissue structure and microenvironments, a bio-hierarchy structure to mimic natural tissue microenvironment and structure was put forward, which is suitable for guiding forming and keeping cell growth. This structure can be used in artificial construction of liver, cartilage and myocardium tissue, etc. The cartilage cell assembling experiments results confirmed that the bio-hierarchy structure has far-reaching science significance in constructing the active engineering organoids in vitro.
