Abstract

As a plant with stringent reliability requirements, the EMU (Electric Multiple Unit) must ensure its availability and safety through proactive maintenance throughout its lifecycle. The implementation of reliability-centered preventive maintenance interval planning technology can effectively reduce the high costs associated with the preventive maintenance process and enhance the profitability of the EMU. Considering the intricate interdependencies within large-scale plant s, component correlation significantly impacts the reliability of the EMU and consequently influences decisions regarding preventive maintenance. In this paper, we propose an innovative approach to modeling competitive failure reliability in EMUs that incorporates component coupling, aiming to extend the margin for preventive maintenance cycles. By leveraging competitive failure principles, we establish a reliable evaluation model for single-unit scheduling competitive failures in EMUs while also developing a correlation evaluation model based on Copula function to investigate component interrelationships. Through analysis using real-world operational data from EMUs, we demonstrate both the feasibility of optimizing preventive maintenance cycles and provide insights into component correlations under specific correlation indices.
