Reliability analysis on mechanism dynamic strength based on Assur-Group method

Abstract

Taking the component sectional sizes, the material strength and the material density as the random variables, and based on the movement analysis and the dynamic analysis while taking the Assur-Group as the unit, a general method of mechanism dynamic strength reliability analysis was established. As an example, the crank-slide mechanism was analyzed by using the method of MFOSM(mean first order second moment). The reliability curves were attained. The result indicates that this method is easy to popularize and has good universal property. It can be used in scientific research and the engineering practice.
