Abstract

A novel relative algorithm ADRP (Assistant and Distributed Relative Positioning Algorithm) is presented so as to the problem of invalid nodes caused by message collision and restricted energy of WSN. Based on cluster localization, ADRP obtains relative coordinate by using the combination of secondary clustering and trilateration to reduce dependence between clusters and single border node. Simulations are made by the network simulator NS-2. Compared with the algorithm of clustering-based SPA, ADRP can reduce the amount of communication packets and invalid nodes; meanwhile, it is also adaptive to irregular distribution of sensor nodes.
