Region feature-based interactive segmentation method and its application in medical image analyzing

Abstract

The interactive image segmentation method based on proxy model was proposed, which includes two sub-processes, i.e. object recognition positioning and object extraction, and fuses the action of operator. The proxy is a task-specific module, and is constructed on the basis of region feature of segmented region in the image, which includes region increment sub-module and optimization searching sub-module. Communications between the operator and computer is realized by means of the control interface and report interface of proxy. The implementation of the method was presented. The experimental results have shown that the method is valuable for segmentation of medical image.
