Abstract
Recrystallization process was studied on cold-rolled high temperature shape memory alloy of Ti51Ni13Pd36 to improve its mechanical properties and the shape memory effect. It was found that recovery of the cold-rolled alloys took place at about 673 K and the recrystallization temperature was about 723 K. The average grain size decreased with the increase of annealing temperature when it was lower than 923 K and then increased when higher than 923 K. The smallest average grain size with 3.5 μmin diameter was obtained.
