Real-time simulation of satellite thermal control system

Abstract

The key to achieve real-time simulation of dynamical property of the satellite thermal control system (TCS) is to find some fast and simplified arithmetic which is accurate enough as well. The temperature of onboard device and equipment are calculated by using two-layer Lumped Parameter Method. The heat flux received by outer equipment is calculated by reasonably simplifying some integral algorithm to algebraic algorithm. Whether the outer equipment is in shadow of the satellite caused by the sunshine or the earth is disposed by regarding the satellite as a ball. The result gives common variation rule of the temperature of the inner equipment and the flux received by the outer equipment when the satellite is on orbit. At the same time, it satisfies the request of real time.
