Abstract

In this paper, we present a real-time GPS software receiver design and implementation with 12 channels using software correlator. A special equal-length CA code correlation method is introduced to increase the performance of real-time signal processing efficiency. The result is tested by real GPS signal data with 12MHz sampling under Pentium/AMD CPU, and more simulation test is done in DSP development platform. By comparison with other software correlator, the new scheme only use 1/2 memory and can procedure 20% speed improvement, 1/3 signal power lost.
