Abstract

In order to make use of the characteristics that the drift of quartz series MEMS gyroscopes has strong periodicity and to improve the performance of the quartz gyroscope, the present real-time compensation methods of quartz gyroscope drift is researched and the relationship between the periodic error items in the original sampled data and smoothed data is studied. Then a new compensation method, UFCL (Using Former period characteristics to Compensate Latter smoothness data ), is proposed by the former conclusions. Both theory analysis and experiment results demonstrate that the method has a lower operation quantity and higher compensation precision, and it's a better method for periodic error items real-time compensation of quartz series MEMS gyroscope zero drift.
