Abstract

In this paper, we delve into the issues of radio resource and energy management in wireless networks with hybrid energy supply. Within this network, base stations (BSs) are driven by both the conventional power grid and renewable energy sources, with the capability to share the energy collected. To achieve efficient collaborative management of radio resource and energy resources, we propose a distributed resource management framework based on multi-layered games. The primary objective of this framework is to minimize the energy consumption of BSs, all the while ensuring that quality of service (QoS) requirements for each user are met. The framework consists of two distinct strategies, organized in a hierarchical and distributed fashion: the radio resource allocation (RRA) strategy, which addresses interference coordination and power control, and the energy sharing (ES) strategy, designed for collaboration in BS energy resources. These strategies undergo updates facilitated by game theory algorithms, and their interaction effectively a d dresses the issue of BS energy consumption. Through extensive simulation experiments, we substantiate the effectiveness of our framework in reducing the energy consumption of BSs while simultaneously meeting the QoS requirements of users.
