Quality planning model based on quality characteristics and its application

Abstract

By analyzing shortcomings of traditional Quality Function Deployment (QFD) in Quality Planning, a novel quality deployment method based on quality characteristics (QCs) was presented based on the network nature of QCs. The mathematical model and algorithms of Analytic Network Process (ANP) were introduced to calculate the priority of QCs, and the detailed description of quality planning process based on the QCs priority was also presented. This methodology was applied in the development of auto structures to solve the Multi-Objective Optimization (MOO) problem. Application results showed that it could provide guidance for quality planning.
