Abstract

Correction to: Nature Immunology, published online 5 January 2024. In the version of the article initially published, there were errors in the title, abstract, main text and editor’s summary where “mpox” mistakenly appeared as “monkeypox”. This has been corrected in the HTML and PDF versions of the article.
