Abstract
Aluminum is the most abundant metal element in the crust, and also is a kind of important light metal. Due to its active chemical properties and high energy density, aluminum has attracted considerable technological interest as a new kind of energy materials. The research progress of hydrogen generation form Al-based alloy hydrolysis at home and abroad is summarized. Based on the analyses of the performances and cost of hydrogen generation by each Al-based alloy, the development direction of hydrogen generation form Al-based alloy hydrolysis is put forward.
