Abstract

Conductive polymer has attracted widespread attention since its emergence. It can be classified by two categories which are structural conductive polymer and filling conductive polymer composite, respectively. Among them, the filling conductive polymer composite can be obtained by doping carbonaceous material or metal. In this article, the conductive mechanism of conductive polymer composite doped by carbon-based material and progress in its conductive properties has been reviewed. The conductive mechanism contains percolation theory, tunneling effect and field emission. Generally, carbon-based conductive fillers include carbon black, carbon nanotube and graphene. Besides, the application and future trend of carbon-based doped conductive polymer were also introduced briefly.
