Abstract
To improve aircraft assembly efficiency, the assembly unit partition method based on process association was put forward. The process split surface could roughly divide aircraft into subassemblies geometrically. With geometrically uncertain parts, grey region analysis was used to calculate process association among parts and relation viewing map was employed to determine their assembly units. The method was proved to be effective by partitioning a vertical tail of an aircraft.
