Abstract

Magnetism has been a crucial force in human development, with magnetic materials playing a vital role throughout history. This chapter focuses on room-temperature liquid metals, which, although inherently nonmagnetic, can be transformed into magnetic systems through the incorporation of ferromagnetic particles. The unique properties of magnetic liquid metals, such as their excellent electrical and thermal conductivity, biocompatibility, and environmental friendliness, make them highly promising for applications in remote manipulation, biomedical fields, and more. This chapter provides an overview of the preparation methods, mechanisms, and regulation of liquid metal magnetics, along with insights into future advancements and applications, aiming to unlock the full potential of this fascinating material.
