N2 - Some characteristics about reliability, maintainability and testability of our high-speed trains would be analyzed deeply in this paper. On this foundation, the feasibility of applying the Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) system to high-speed trains would be demonstrated, and some problems, such as fault assortment, fault effect, fault law, maintenance mode, maintenance task type and so forth, are researched. Furthermore, the preliminary RCM method for high-speed trains is established. The application of RCM to high-speed trains is illuminated via an example. Finally, conclusions and suggestions about RCM of high-speed trains are put forward.
