Abstract

For meeting the need of jettison system design, the prediction model of the canopy trajectory is developed through analyzing the force of canopy at different steps of jettison. The aerodynamic coefficients used in the model is acquired through the transient correction of steady aerodynamic coefficients. Furthermore, the influence of rivet trimming on trajectory has been considered to improve the accuracy of model. The model can be used in the trajectory prediction of different aircraft canopies at variable conditions. Finally, with this model, some simulations are carried out, and the results demonstrate its feasibility.
