Abstract

The software testing is to find internal problems in the software, which is key of quality assurance and is final examination in functions, specification, design and programming implementation for the software. The features of the software testing, such as attribute, division of stages, milestone of software testing process, were analyzed. The metrics of software testing have two classes: prediction type and acceptance type. The practical metric method in accordance with error rate and schedule for software testing was introduced and points for attention were pointed out. The results of software testing for Star 1.0 and 2.0, as an illustrative examples, were given.
