Abstract
This study explores an approach to incorporating polyrotaxane into solid polymer electrolytes (SPEs) through crosslinking with poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG). By leveraging the unique properties of polyrotaxane and the flexibility of PEG, we have developed SPEs with enhanced ionic conductivity, mechanical strength, and thermal stability. Our results indicate that the SPE film, containing equal weights of hydroxypropyl polyrotaxane (HyPR) and PEG with a molecular weight of 10000 Da, exhibits high thermal resistance above 150 °C, impressive flexibility with an elongation at break exceeding 550%, and an ionic conductivity of 2.715 × 10-5 S cm-1 at 30 °C.
