Abstract

Previously, piecewise vector fitting (PWVF) method for building macro-model from a highly resonant frequency response in a broad range of frequencies has been proposed. The method accurately identifies macro-model by dividing its frequency response into sections, but no specific method for the frequency-domain partitioning has been proposed. To make the entire identification process automatic, a binary algorithm of frequency domain partitioning which is used to dividing the whole frequency band into sections is added into the PWVF. An illustrative example involving a micro-strip line filter is presented for validation of the proposed method.
