Abstract
The loss of the polarization-maintaining fiber(PM) coil in fiber optic gyro(FOG) increases in the radiation environment. The precision of FOG degrade with the loss increase, which restricts the FOG for space application. Base on the theoretical analysis and the experiments research on the photobleaching, the conclusion can be drawn that the photobleaching can reduce the loss of PM fiber coil effectively and improve the anti-radiation performance of PM fiber coil. Finally the anti-radiation scheme of FOG is proposed, the loss of the optic head in FOG decreases 2.24dB.
