Abstract
In this paper, the study was to obtain the performance of plug nozzles rapidly and correctly. The performance evaluation models of the plug nozzles for different conditions were established by theoretical analysis with combination of the flow phenomena in plug nozzles. Based on the performance evaluation models, performance for the plug nozzles was foreshowed, including the full length plug nozzle, the truncated central body and the plug nozzles with base pressure and the base second flows. Through comparison and analysis, the results got from the models were quite consistent with experiment results, implying that the performance evaluation models of plug nozzles are effective. But, in a certain extent there are some differences between experiments and evaluation values. The performance evaluation models for plug nozzles should be perfected more.
