Abstract

Micro-Doppler signature is the unique feature of walking human and can provide information for target recognition. The motion parameters estimation of walking human is meaningful for human target recognition. In this paper, a method of parameters estimation of walking human based on the micro-Doppler is proposed. In this method, the generalized S transform is used as the time frequency analysis tool to generate the micro-Doppler spectrum. And then the time-frequency distribution of torso component is separated from the spectrum and converted into 1-D time-frequency curve. The bulk velocity and gait circle are estimated from this time-frequency curve finally. The simulation experiments are carried out at different SNR to test the performance of the proposed method at the end of this paper.
