Abstract

The solar array layout and airship attitude are significant factors to the output performance of solar array on high-altitude airship. The purpose of this paper is to improve output performance of airship through optimize solar array layout and yaw angle. Based on the layout model and energy model of solar array, a MATLAB program is established to calculate the output energy with the change of layout parameters under different working conditions. The optimal layout and yaw angle are obtained by optimization model based on artificial bee colony algorithm. The results show that the output energy of solar array can be improved by optimizing yaw angle and solar array layout, and yaw angle of airship can affect the optimal layout. This paper is conducive to improve airship output performance for designer in the preparation stage and operation process.
