Abstract
Stretch forming of aircraft skin is a complicated sheet metal forming process, so the optimization of process parameters is of significant importance. Defects in aircraft skin stretch forming were described and quantified as objective functions in process optimization. Parameters in stretch forming were analyzed and a method for selecting the main parameters effecting on the product quality was proposed. The objective functions were found by the method of response surface. The multi-objective problem was dealt with function evaluation method which transformed the multi-objective problem into a single one. The stretch forming parameters of a practical part with forming difficulties were optimized. Finite element analysis and productive experiment, were carried out to verify the effect and accuracy of the method.
