Abstract

The unequal-length slots SWS applied in extended interaction klystron can effectively broaden bandwidth and increase output power. In this paper, we analyze the electric field distribution and the effective characteristic impedance of different length ratios. The result indicates that with the increase of length ratio, the electric field in the long-slots and short-slots will shift up. The good matching of long-slot with short-slot will improve the electric field distribution and increase the effective characteristic impedance.
