Abstract
Based on the established turbine blade shroud parametric model, this article choosed iSIGHT as an optimization platform, and employed the model building software and finite element method (FEM) software to construct the procedure of the shroud optimization. It successfully reduced the shroud's mass (at least 1.0%) on the condition of keeping its structural strength by use of this procedure. In addition, this research shows some relationships among different parameters' combinations, such as the included angle α and the pressure on the damp faces. It also provides an effective method to design and optimize the similar complicated models.
