Optimization Design of the Disc-shaped Rotor for MSCMG

Abstract

The magnetically suspended control moment gyros (MSCMGs) supported by the magnetic bearings (MBs) have the advantages of the high control accuracy and long life. The high-speed disc-shaped rotor (HSDSR) is the core component of the MSCMG. The mass, strength and stiffness of the HSDSR directly affect the overall performance of the system. In this paper, the multidisciplinary optimization design of the HSDSR is studied, and the optimal design scheme is obtained. The weight of the HSDSR is minimized and the mechanical strength is improved. It has practical significance in the design of the spacecraft attitude control system.
