Abstract

High temperature solid-liquid phase change thermal energy storage canister is a crucial component of heat receiver in solar dynamic power module, it's heat transfer performance effects all the performance of power system. The objective function and restrain equation of heat storage canisters were obtained, the designed parameters were calculated by optimization, the parametric study of wall thickness, outer radius and length of an encapsulated phase change material of the heat performance was performed. Optimized calculation shown that, the parametric of PCM canisters has a very important role to improve the heat receiver thermal performance and mass characteristics.
