Optical fiber sensor monitoring on resin flow

A new optical fiber sensor to monitor resin flow was developed with general single mode fiber. The sensor was made of usual multi-model optical fibers. The working principle and the method fabricated the sensors were introduced. The sensor was used to monitor the actual resin injection process. The results show that the optical sensors presented in this paper can successfully catch the resin flow front and it is fit to monitor the resin flow process.
